We live in a society in which conflict is part of our everyday life. Further, the current tendencies towards more polarized societies announce that this process is on the rise. We observe recurrent conflict among social, political, ethnic or religious groups, as well as among regions and nations. Even at the individual level we see a large number of disputes that end up being resolved in the courts with social costs.

Clearly, the analysis of conflict has received less attention than it deserves. Putting conflict at the center stage can provide a new and fruitful way of modeling social and economic relations and institutions.

The purpose of this webpage is to set the basis for multidisciplinary cooperative research on polarization and conflict.

It aims at establishing a long lasting network for the promotion and dissemination of academic work on this topic.
